It seems like everyone I know is moving house or redecorating at the moment. I'm not complaining, because I will literally leap at the opportunity to discuss home decor with anyone, and I am so keen to get on with our move now that at least hearing about it from others is soothing that antsy, can-I-start-packing yet feeling.
I also love an excuse for a bit of homeware window shopping and I noticed that several people have asked me where on earth you find cute curtains that don't cost all of your worldly possesions + your first born child. A lot of the obvious places that sell curtains seem to offer just one style of boring curtain, in a range of different beiges, browns and greys, so I took the liberty of compiling a post of beautiful curtains that can be found in (or shipped to!) the UK. Most of them are relatively cheap, too.
Even though I thought I had covered every base in my Spring Decor Ideas post for our new home, I realised I completely forgot to invest in curtains (also, lampshades..!) so now I'm greedily going over my favourite picks and pinning to my heart's content - ready to don the windows with some of these great finds.
1. Washed Linen Curtain in Beige - H&M Home - £34.99
You can't go wrong with a neutral colour and some crinkly washed linen. I can totally see these hanging out in a bright and airy bedroom to complement those cosy creased bedsheets and give off "Sunday morning lie-in" vibes.
2. White Cotton Tie Top Curtain with Gold Polka Dots - Maisons Du Monde - £35.99
I can barely cope with how cute these are. I'm powerless to dainty gold spots - I can just imagine the light streaming in through these and a breeze billowing them around.
3. Wool Mix Curtain with Leather Tabs - La Redoute - £71.00
These are cosy curtains if I ever saw them - a fair bit pricier but sure to keep the cold out. Pair them with a scandi-chic living room for airy mornings but cosy nights.
4. Floral and White Cotton/Voile Curtain - H&M Home - £19.99
These are just such a cute pattern and a perfect splash of colour to add to a bedroom or a particulary botanical living room. To me, these scream Betty - which is always a good thing.
5. Araya Curtain - Anthropologie - £118
I mean, we can all dream right? Anthro is the place to be if you've got some serious curtain budget. Can we talk about these tassels?
6. Velvet Curtain in Dusky Green - H&M Home - £34.99
I promise this is my last H&M link! But for real - these velvet dreams are literally calling my name. I'm already hanging these babies in my new living room, in my mind.
7. Velvet Curtain in Antique Pink - Maisons Du Monde - £57.50
It's pink, it's velvet. You and I both knew we weren't going to make it through this blog post without it. I am sorely, sorely tempted by these.
8. Crushed Velour Emerald Curtains - Dunelm - £50 to £105
Alright these guys are a bit extra but hear me out - imagine these beauties hanging from your window, surrounded by plants. I think with the right decor these could complement some serious Jungalow vibes.
