Hello folks! Here's your potentially alarming reminder that it is just over one short week until Mother's Day. I'm getting your giftwrap sorted with this pretty DIY that's easy on the eyes, your wallet and, ahem, your skill level!
YOU WILL NEED
- Plain parcel paper (Wilko is bargainous)
- Chic washi tape of your choice - sparkly silver tape can be found ebay for a very affordable price.
- Black Ribbon - I bought the thin, plastic kind which you can curl with scissors, and is available in lots of places. You could also use a colour that matches the card or even your gift.
First: wrap your gift in parcel paper, as neatly as possible. This works a little better on gifts that are smooth and flat, naturally.
Then, cut your washi into approx 2inch strips. Stick the strips all over at random like confetti.
Tie the ribbon into a neat bow and make pretty ribbon curls with a pair of scissors.
Then, use my pretty lettering tutorial to address your card in a similarly aesthetically pleasing way!
Done. Tres chic.
