Hey everybody! Wow, it's been a very London-y few weeks for me! A few weeks ago (man, it seems like ages ago, but I guess that's how it is when you blog once a week!) I had the pleasure of attending Betty Magazine's gorgeous launch party. They were celebrating the launch of their Spring/Summer issue, which was themed around 'bloom'.
As anyone who knows of or follows Betty will know, their party was bound to be of the same lust-worthy calibre as everywhere they go, and create.
I thought i'd just share a few snaps of the evening, mostly because there was so much beautiful everywhere - and I took far too many photos to simply post to Insta. When I arrived, I didn't know A N Y B O D Y, but I was lucky enough to have been recognised by the lovely Zabby Allen and I promptly clung to her like a limpet for the rest of the evening.
There was a stunning selection of fruity Prosecco with real flowers, gin cocktails, real-fruit ice lollies and donuts by the ever-wonderful Vicky's Donuts. I have been wanting to try them for a lifetime, but being in Nottingham, it's not been that easy! I have to say, though, that Vicky's are possibly the greatest donuts i've ever had. They remind me of these ones we got in Japan, that we have been searching for an equal to ever since. They were chewy and delicious, rather than bread-y like some donuts are, and the icing was super sweet in a *sugary* way (rather than a sweetener-y way!) and super vanilla-y and delicious. If It had not ,made me look like a complete idiot, I probably would have steadily gorged my way through the entire tray.
The reason I was invited along to the launch party was because I had been lucky enough to snag a contributor spot to the issue, so grab yourself a copy of the mag and spot my illustration in there!
