So if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you might have noticed I visited London last week. I went for some cool, design-related reasons, one of which I'm going to cover in my next post. However, seeing as I was there, I thought I would take advantage of the excellent shopping that London has, especially as London is a bit of big deal for me. It's usually horrifically expensive and it is such a big place that I find it an eensy bit terrifying.
But, anyway, I was alone and on a mission to scope out some cute homewares that I couldn't get my hands on here in Notts. As if by telepathy, wandering aimlessly brought me to the front step of West Elm. I had to keep purchases small enough to fit in my kanken, along with all my clothes, make up, toothbrushes, etc, so I went with a pair of these gorgeous mugs.
Then I stumbled across a Tiger, (which incidentally, opened up here in Nottingham too, about two days later!) Being relatively obsessed with Stationery, I couldn't resist these notebooks and this gorgeous vase/pot thing which is now housing my bamboo a lot more elegantly than their former WKD bottles. (Don't ask where they came from - I have no idea.) I'm trying to stick to a more minimal homeware feel these day.
I think the notebooks are going to live out their days helping me with my dissertation this year. I love that they look like the American school books you always see in movies, but with a fancy marble twist.
