Sup peeps! So I was reading a great article that I can't for the life of me find (it was one of those ones I just clicked through to on Instagram, and now I've forgotten their username) about combating the feeling of being uninspired. The main lesson (that I took) was to leave time to create, every day. It doesn't matter if it's 5 minutes, or if it's rubbish, all it matters is that you keep practicing. I think we all know this, truly, but we allow it to all fall by the wayside. I think most creatives wish they had more time to create, or push our creative practices aside in favour of more pressing matters. We all need reminding.
So, I thought, why not kill two birds with one stone. You get your reminder (and I do too) and I get my practice. It is with trepidation that I announce this new little series that I hope to be posting each week: Your Weekly Reminder. I'm hoping to post little messages of drawing-related encouragement, and on the weekend no less, to inspire you to do a little doodle, or make something each week, whilst I expand my own creativity and hone my craft.
I hope I can keep it up. Let me know if you like it! What do you do to create (and what is it that you're gonna go and practice now cause I told ya to?!)
